Michelle Bumgarner

Michelle Bumgarner is a Native Northern Nevadan born in the Reno area now living in Northern California. Michelle is passionate about practicing Family Law as well as special education law as she has been through the IEP process as a parent. Michelle believes in advocating tirelessly for her clients and ensures that her team does the same by fostering an atmosphere of equality and respect. Qualities that are reflected not only in the work product generated by her team, but in the victories she achieves in the courtroom for her clients. Her journey through the law started after high school graduation. Michelle worked for a local insurance defense law firm during her college years where she fell in love with the law. It was there that she decided that she wanted to help people in a substantial way by becoming an attorney. She applied, was accepted, attended and graduated from University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. Michelle went on to attend The University of North Dakota School of Law. She excelled with ease landing on the Dean’s List multiple semesters, even obtaining an award for “Substantial Legal Writing” both in 2006 and 2007. That very year she graduated with a Juris Doctorate with Distinction. Upon graduation Michelle was immediately scouted by a top law firm and began practicing law that same year. Michelle is licensed to practice in all California State Courts; Nevada State Courts; Federal District Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Michelle now lives in Northern California and when not working, enjoys spending time with her family and the great outdoors.
